Dad Alert is a private, single-patient family caregiving tool. It exists to help one family monitor and document one patient's cardiac health, with that patient's knowledge and authorization. It is operated by the patient's family, not by a company.

What Dad Alert is, and is not

• Dad Alert is a documentation and coordination tool for a family and the patient's own care team.
• Dad Alert is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and does not replace professional medical care. In any emergency, call 911 first.
• Guidance shown in the app is informational support for the family while they decide what to do. It never advises against seeking emergency care.

Who may use it

• Use is limited to the patient and family caregivers the patient has authorized. Each person uses a registered device.
• Health record access is read-only and happens only with the patient's own consent through his health system's patient portal (MyChart, by Epic).
• The patient may withdraw consent at any time, which stops record access and may be followed by full deletion on request.

Data

How data is stored, used, and deleted is described plainly in the privacy policy. In short: private US-hosted server, no ads, no sale of data, no third-party sharing, export and full deletion on request.

No warranty

Dad Alert is provided as-is by the family that runs it, with no warranty of any kind. The family operates it with care but cannot guarantee availability or fitness for any purpose. Never rely on it as the only safeguard in an emergency.
